Earlier this month TEI’s Technical Director, Sam Mawby, was invited to deliver a presentation at the Richmond Energy Business Forum International. With customers actively stepping up their energy efficiency efforts in response to internal and Governmental carbon targets, Sam met with representatives from some of Europe’s biggest energy users to explain how Thermal Energy can support them in reducing their carbon emissions through TEI’s expanded portfolio of Heat Recovery solutions. The main theme of the presentation was the danger of decision-making paralysis amongst energy professionals in selecting technologies that will deliver their net-zero goals whilst ensuring they exploit tax initiatives available to them, and then having the confidence to implement them.
Sam discussed how Thermal Energy has well-documented and proven technology that has helped its customers save energy and reduce carbon emissions for over 20 years. There is no need to wait, he argues, for new technologies and infrastructure that doesn’t yet exist when TEI’s portfolio of proprietary products, and their experience of implementing them through their in-house engineering teams, deliver significant carbon reductions and attractive ROI’s. Sam went on to explain that what is certain, is that the cost of heat is going to increase, and we must not simply wait for longer term nett zero solutions to be available, when industry should be implementing projects with quick paybacks using flexible and robust technologies currently available. Sam described TEI’s effective waste-heat recovery and economy technologies using live project examples returning over 30% annual energy reduction. He advised energy users to consider what steps can be taken now, to strike an economic balance between energy cost and reducing carbon emissions. Comments are closed.
